      About Justin

      My love of homes began when I started my own business doing residential remodeling in 2002. For me, remodeling was always more than just replacing cabinets and fixtures and flooring – it's about getting to know homes. Each home has a history, has its own personality, its special qualities and its quirks. Remodeling a home involves learning its history and working with its personality - and the personality of the owner - to make them a better match than they were before. I have always found great joy in taking a client's plans and dreams and fitting them together with their home and their budget. Since the beginning, almost all of my new clients have come from word of mouth recommendations by satisfied clients.

      In the middle of my contracting career, I took a hiatus to do full time ministry. For 4 years my family and I traveled throughout the United States, working with churches and in communities across 30 states and in Mexico. At the end of this time, the draw of Mid-Coast Maine and of family and old friends brought us back 'home' to Warren, Maine. Upon our return, I re-started my remodeling business, but have continued in ministry for the inmates at the Knox County Jail, as well as Bible teaching at our church.

      Although I'm originally from New Jersey, my wife's family is from Maine. In fact, the home in Warren where we live (and which I'm still working on, of course!), is part of the old homestead that has been in the family since it was built in the late 1700's. Together with my wife's parents, we have brought livestock and large gardens back to the property, breathing new life into the majestic old barn and spacious fields.

      My wife, Jocelin, home-schools our 7 children (with a little help now and then from me). We live on the same property as my wife's parents and her grandmother, and it is such a blessing for our children to both benefit from, and be a help to, their elder generations.

      We love being part of the continuing story of this old family homestead and this Mid-Coast community. The stories of homes and the families that have lived in them are intertwined, each generation, each owner, adding something of themselves to their home and their community. It's a real joy when I'm invited to be a part of that process for someone else, whether in remodeling, or in helping you buy or sell a home.

      For sellers, my goal is to help them maximize the potential in their home by advising how to most effectively present their home for sale, which can include anything from cleaning and staging to repairs and updates. I see myself as an more than just an agent, but as an advocate for their property, getting to really know the house and the land in order to present all its strengths and unique features to potential buyers. This includes effective online and print marketing, networking with buyer agents, quality photography, and of course, putting that knowledge to work by personally presenting it to potential buyers. I aim to be a ready help to sellers every step of the way, making the whole process as smooth as possible.

      For buyers, I love helping them find that perfect match. It's so much more than square footage, number of bedrooms and a budget... Every home has a personality, just like every family, and the key to helping buyers find a home is matching their personality, their wants and needs in a home, with a home that fits them just right. In order to help make those perfect matches, I spend time getting to know the houses in the area that are for sale, and getting to know my clients. Sometimes, finding a perfect match means creating a perfect match – taking a home that almost has it all, and helping buyers to see the potential to make it into their dream home. I have the knowledge and experience to help guide buyers through those kinds of decisions, and I love seeing buyers find that perfect match!

      Since 2002, I have earned a reputation as a contractor who works hard, who meets and exceeds my clients' expectations – and I strive to maintain that reputation as an agent for real estate buyers and sellers.
